access issue to education in the usa
start an org or school to help girls to get education

family rifts occur when advancing children of parents who lack the aptitude for it.

media plays a part and is controlled by terrorist groups whose ideology of women is primitive
Twitter is a grassroots media that connects
china – boys first, traditional notions of women’s role is perpetuated, but they have opportunity now (due to one child policy, lots of males) – scarsity adds value
cultural divide – fashion design vs top careers, teachers, nursing, homemaker
visa issue – keeps high tech women from working
visa – can also start a business

there are a lot of factors that impact women’s education
it’s not grim sijce many orgs do exist to combat this.
join orgs ghat are already mature
Global Washington – most orgs for global change are in Seattle via Gates Foundation, sharing best practices
Seattle Works.org – speed dating for boards, training for non-profits
