The Avante is the conference hotel. You can call them at 650-940-1000 to book and get the 'she's geeky' rate of $179/night.

There are also many more 'budget hotels' along El Camino Real in Mountain View.

Airports

• San Jose is the closest Airport.
• San Francisco the next closest.
• Oakland is also across the bay and has lots of cheap flights from the East Coast.

Public Transporation

The main transit up and down the peninsula is CalTrain. You can get off at Mountain View and take a taxi to the Museum. There are express trains that run at rush hour so be sure to catch a train that stops at that station. 

BART connects to CalTrain at Millbrae Station. 

You can take the MUNI to CalTrain in SF. 

From the East Bay you can take the 180 Express bus from Union City to Downtown San Jose and then the train north to Mountain View (or the Light Rail).
